Such an amazing bookstore! Love the layout and all of the staff recommendations stuck in various books. A nice selection of used books too! Will definitely stop back when in the area.

*June 18, 2025 Review Update: I gifted myself a copy of this wonderful book to continue learning more about Native Nations. Thank you Flyleaf for shipping it to me and Dr. Kathleen DuVal for signing it. 🫶🏽🙏🏽😊 This was my first time at this lovely bookstore. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, book signing, and reading with these beautiful and brilliant ladies. Really great local bookstore. Nice selection of new and used books, plus a small section with other things. One of my favorite places in chapel Hill, always doing something to support the community.

This is a nice store. A generous used book section and everything is laid out well where you can see everything. I stopped in to kill some time. Ended up buying a book a couple sticker and a pin.

Fantastic bookstore with welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and chill customers. Great selection of new and used titles. Lovely personalized recommendations. Thrifty, nifty gifts and knick-knacks. Relaxing vibes and community feel. An oasis of old school delight.

One of our family’s happy places. Stellar staff, an excellent selection, and great recommendations when you’re searching for something. We love them for their selection of new and used books, children’s section, and unique little gifts for special occasions.

A real bookshop in a real local plaza. A rare gem nowadays. Love that they host so many community events. The employees seem happy and are always friendly and helpful. Love all the seller notes and recs all over the store. (Also a great selection of cards and other gifts too!)

This is the best bookstore if you feel like you're missing the human element when it comes to finding your next good read. Reviews and online recommendations are nice, but the staff at Flyleaf are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the variety of titles and genres, but also humble enough to ask a co-worker for input when they're not sure or if they know that coworker has a similar interest to your request. The used book selection is incredibly well maintained and easy to navigate compared to many other stores that do resell. Personally, I'm a big fan of the variety provided in their children's picture book section, I almost always find a title that I've never seen before. Along with this being a wonderful bookstore, it also has a wonderful location with great coffee and food options around it so that you can just park in one spot and do everything you need in one trip. Lastly, they do a great job of supporting local artists, selling stickers and other goods.

Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill was excellent. The location is quite conspicuous in a plaza, so you can’t miss it. Books inside are neatly arranged by genre, and the layout of the store allows you to browse the books in an unhurried manner—an essential for any bookstore I think. There’s a separate section for used books, and you can find some great books at bargain prices there. The staff is willing to help should you need it. A restroom is available in the back of the store. The bookstore has character, and I recommend visiting here if you’re looking for books in the Chapel Hill area. Parking is available outside.
